, revealed that he had bought a competitor’s electric car, Tesla Model Y, to be stripped naked and examined each component.

When speaking Lei displays images on a large screen about the comparison of the Y model with the mainstay model Xiaomi, Yu7.Lei praised and said the Y model could be an alternative YU7 which is now long pivot.
“If you don’t choose YU7, you can consider the Y model. I don’t criticize the Y model. The Y model is a very extraordinary car,” he said.

After launching YU7 last June, Xiaomi claimed to get 240 thousand orders in 24 hours.According to

The Y model is not the only electric car that is recommended by Lei as an alternative to YU7.When responding to the old indent issue on social media, Lei recommended the Xpeng G7 and Li Auto I8, rather than consumers waiting in line.
