Driver’s license
(SIM) C is no longer only limited to completing various examinations at the Satpas.For a number of regions, the applicant was also asked to undergo a practical test riding a motorcycle on the highway.
The additional activity was understood as a brand -new breakthrough conducted by the National Police in testing the driving competency of the SIM applicant C.
Previously the National Police had also changed the track track model of the number eight and zigzag in the practice test at the Satpas.Besides that, the width of the new practice examination in the Satpas was also enlarged from before.

Specifically for practice on the highway, this activity was announced by the police in January 2025. They stated that the SIM C practice exam was not only conducted in the Satpas but was held on the highway to test the ability of motorcyclists.

According to the police, the SIM practice exam directly on the highway is regulated in Polri Regulation Number 2 of 2023 concerning Amendments to Polri Regulation Number 5 of 2021 concerning the Issuance and Marking of Driving License.
In Article 18 paragraph (1) the rules are written the practical examination is carried out for a new SIM application;Increased SIM group;and due to the revocation of the SIM on the basis of a court decision.
Then in verse 2 the practical test is written manually and/or electronic.The practice exam as referred to in paragraph (2) is carried out on:
a.Practical Examination Field in Satpas or other locations;And
b.certain roads.
Head of Sub Directorate of SIM Ditregant Korlantas Polri Kombes Heru Sutopo in January said the SIM Practice Examination on the highway had been valid nationally.So that the practice exam will be conducted twice, namely the Practice Exam 1 Track Satpas and the Practice Test 2 on the highway.
“(Practice 1 exam in the Satpas field) is still,” Heru said at the time.
SIM C Practice Test Sighting on the Highway
Meanwhile the SIM C practical exam on the highway has been circulating on various social media networks.
In a viral photo and video on social media, a police officer was seen riding a motorcycle while trailing a motorbike using a vest that reads ‘SIM 06 Practice Examination’ in front of him.
The motorbike who appeared to ride a automatic motorbike was allegedly conducting a SIM practice exam on the highway while being considered by the police.
The traffic flow in the video looks quite crowded so that a number of passing vehicles seem to slow down, but until now it is not yet known where the moment was recorded.
