caught in a Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) related to a corruption case involving fees for additional work unit budgets at the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement Areas and Land Services (PUPR PKPP).Abdul is recorded as having assets worth IDR 4.8 billion, some of which are vehicles.
Based on data processed from the KPK e-LHKPN as of March 31 2024 or while still serving as a member of the DPR RI from the National Awakening Party (PKB) faction, Abdul was recorded as having two SUVs with a total value of IDR 780 million.
It consists of a 2016 Toyota Fortuner worth IDR 400 million and a 2017 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport whose price is estimated at IDR 380 million.Both are claimed to be based on their own results.

An ensnaring case
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission Johanis Tanak explained that Abdul was together with two other suspects in the name of the Head of the PUPR-PKPP Service, Muhammad Arief Setiawan and the Expert Staff of the Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid, Dani M. Nursalam.
They are suspected of extorting money to increase the 2025 budget allocated to the UPT Roads and Bridges for Regions I-VI of the PUPR PKPP Service, which was originally IDR 71.6 billion to IDR 177.4 billion.
Abdul allegedly asked for a fee of 2.5 percent because he succeeded in increasing the budget for the UPT Roads and Bridges for Regions I-VI of the PUPR PKPP Service.
Then, said Tanak, all Heads of Regional UPTs for the PUPR PKPP Service along with the Secretary of the PUPR PKPP Riau Service met again and agreed on a fee for Abdul of 5 percent or IDR 7 billion.
“The results of the meeting were then reported to the Head of the PUPR PKPP Riau Service using the code language ‘7 bar’,” he said.
Previously, the KPK arrested a total of 10 people in a silent operation related to alleged project bribery at the Riau PUPR Service, Monday (3/11).During the OTT, the KPK confiscated rupiah denominations and foreign currency worth up to IDR 1 billion.
